    User Content Policy

    Effective Date: March 13, 2026 · Last Updated: March 13, 2026

This policy explains how ArcProof handles content you upload, submit, or create on the platform. The core principle: your content belongs to you. We only use it to provide the Service.

    1. What Is User Content?

"User Content" means any content you upload, submit, create, or provide to the Platform, including but not limited to:

    • • Resumes and CVs uploaded for skill analysis
    • • Assignments, projects, and academic work submitted for skill extraction
    • • Assessment responses, quiz answers, and capstone submissions
    • • Coursework data imported from LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Brightspace)
    • • Forum posts, discussion contributions, and peer reviews
    • • AI mentor conversation inputs
    • • Profile information and portfolio content
    • • Audio recordings (e.g., micro-oral assessment responses)

    2. Ownership

You retain full ownership of all User Content. Uploading content to ArcProof does not transfer ownership rights to us.

    You represent and warrant that:

    • • You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content
    • • Your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
    • • Your content complies with all applicable laws and these Terms

If you submit content created by others (e.g., collaborative projects), you represent that you have the consent of all contributors.

    3. License Grant to ArcProof

By submitting User Content, you grant ArcProof a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

    • Process & Analyze: Use AI to analyze your content for skill extraction, competency scoring, and evidence generation
    • Store: Securely store your content as part of your account data
    • Display: Display content and derived analytics to you within the Platform
    • Verify: Use content as part of credential verification and ArcProof evidence
    • Moderate: Review content for compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy

This license exists solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. It terminates when you delete the content or close your account, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate credential verification.

This license does not grant ArcProof the right to:

    • • Sell, rent, or distribute your content to third parties
    • • Use your content for advertising or marketing without your consent
    • • Use your submissions to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent
    • • Share your raw submissions with employers (only derived skill scores are shared, and only with your authorization)

    4. How Your Content Is Processed

AI Processing. When you submit content for analysis, AI processes it to extract skills, evaluate competency, and generate structured evidence. See our AI Usage & Transparency Policy for details on how AI handles your data.

LMS Imports. When you authorize import from a learning management system, ArcProof retrieves coursework data (assignment titles, descriptions, grades, and submission metadata) and processes it for skill extraction. Raw assignment files from LMS imports are processed but not permanently stored unless you choose to retain them.

Forum Content. Posts and replies submitted to public forums are visible to other users of the same course. Forum content may be moderated by AI for quality and compliance, with human review for flagged items.

Credential Evidence. When skills are extracted from your content, the resulting competency evidence is linked to your ArcProof credential. The evidence references the source (e.g., "derived from capstone project") but does not expose the raw submission content to third parties.

    5. Content Removal & Deletion

Your Right to Delete. You may delete your User Content at any time through your account settings or by contacting privacy@skilluparc.com.

Effect of Deletion. When you delete content:

    • • The content is permanently removed from active systems within thirty (30) days
    • • Derived data (skill scores, evidence) associated with the deleted content may also be removed at your request
    • • Encrypted backups are purged within ninety (90) days
    • • Issued credentials referencing deleted content may remain valid for verification purposes unless revoked

Our Right to Remove. We may remove User Content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy, infringes on third-party rights, or is otherwise unlawful. We will notify you when content is removed and provide a reason, except where prohibited by law.

    6. Copyright Infringement & DMCA

ArcProof respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated agent:

Your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

We will respond to valid DMCA notices promptly and may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content.
